A science teacher at a Catholic school has been suspended for telling 14-year-old girls to take condoms with them on a school excursion.
Dave Cuthbertson, 53, who teaches at Chatsmore Catholic High School, in Goring, was scheduled to go on the skiing trip to Italy but he was suspended after parents heard from their children about those remarks.
One parent, who asked not to be named, told The Sun: "Some girls were upset at the idea they'd be having sex instead of skiing.
"Telling underage children they should bring condoms on a school trip - a Catholic one at that - is disgusting."
The school told the Daily Mail: "Safeguarding is our main priority. The matter's closed."
The school has 627 pupils ages 11 to 16. It was given an overall 'Good' Ofsted rating from officials in 2015.
The school has been contacted for a comment.
