A CRASH between a van and a car left one driver in hospital and broke a set of traffic lights.
Sussex Police are attending the scene.
A spokeswoman said: “It was a van versus car.
“We were called at 11.44am to High Street in Polegate.
“One of the drivers was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital.
“A set of traffic lights were also involved in the collision.
“Highways England have been informed.”
The AA website said that police are currently at the scene directing traffic.
It warned drivers that the road is partially blocked, causing queueing traffic on the A2270.
