A DRIVER crashed a stolen car into a pub after a police chase.
Officers pursued the vehicle along West Way, Hove, at about 9pm on Sunday before it crashed into the wall of the Grenadier Pub in Hangleton Way.
A man got out of the car and ran off.
The vehicle had been stolen from Keymer Road, Hassocks, on Christmas Eve.
Its owner has been informed that the vehicle has been recovered.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested following the incident.
Tony Cooper of Quantock Gardens, Hastings, was charged with aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 15, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.
He was remanded in custody to next appear at Lewes Crown Court on February 12.
