A WOMAN and two children have been “seriously injured” in a three vehicle accident involving a van on the A280.
The ambulance service said six people are being treated for injuries following incident at 3.57pm this afternoon (17 January) in Water Lane, Angmering.
An air ambulance was called and the fire service worked to free one person from a car’s wreckage.
The A280 remains closed both ways.
This incident, between Ecclesden Farm and the A27, is currently ongoing.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to assist with an RTC involving three cars in Water Lane, Angmering at 3.57pm this afternoon (17 January).
“Two appliances including a heavy rescue vehicle were sent to the scene. On arrival, it was established one person was trapped in a vehicle, and crews worked to extract them.
“Three other people able to self-release from the vehicles are in the care of SECAmb.”
