A WOMAN who was involved in a horror crash has died.
Officers attended the A280 in Angmering after an orange Suzuki crashed with a blue Honda and white Peugeot at about 3.50pm on Thursday.
Six people were injured and four people were trapped in vehicles.
One person needed to be cut free from the wreckage by firefighters while the other three were able to release themselves.
The driver of the Suzuki, a Worthing woman in her forties, was taken to Southampton General Hospital where she later died from her injuries. Next of kin have been informed.
Two children, passengers of the same vehicle, suffered serious injuries and were taken to Worthing Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
The driver of the Honda and a passenger both suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The third driver was taken to Worthing Hospital with minor injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to report information either online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Lumley.
