TWO generation defining bands will host intimate in-store meet and greets next month.

Coventry 2 tone and ska revival band The Specials and Noughties pop-rockers Busted will both be appearing at Resident Records, Kensington Gardens, in early February.

Busted will be signing copies of their new album, Half Way There from 6:30pm on Friday, February 1.

Meanwhile The Specials will also be putting pen to paper - or album case in this instance - at a signing session on Monday, February 4.

The 2 tone band will be signing copies of their latest release, Encore, ahead of a headline show at Brighton Dome on April 17.

Busted won’t be hitting Brighton as part of their spring tour in the UK, so this is the best chance to see them up close for this year at least.

To gain access to either signing you will need to pre-order either Half Way There or Encore through Resident Records.

Stars of the Seventies, The Specials were one at the front of the 2 tone and ska movement.

Songs like Ghost Town and Too Much Too Young shot Neville Staple and co into the limelight as one of the best bands of the era.

Meanwhile Busted had a similar impact on youngsters in the early 2000s.

Their upbeat brand of guitar-driven pop music was popular from children to young adults.

The band recently reformed, having finished touring with supergroup McBusted - which saw them join forces with fellow Noughties pop-rockers McFly.

Resident Records has a reputation for excellent in-store sessions.

Slaves, Pale Waves and Bill Ryder-Jones all put on performances at the store in 2018.

Busted’s Half Way There and The Specials Encore are both released on February 1
