WHILE there are a number of very worthwhile reasons for leaving the European Union such as sovereignty, worldwide trade and making our own laws, I have not heard of any serious reason to remain.

In fact, there are many reasons not to.

To name but a few, there is the contribution to the EU budget, the Common Agricultural Policy and the restrictions of the common Fisheries Policy, the jurisdiction of the European Court of justice, the sharing of our intimate Security activities, the customs union and of course uncontrolled migration.

There was a huge turnout when the country voted to leave and this vote was ratified by our MPs.

Whereas it could be said that we did not know all the facts and hence what we were letting ourselves in for, but our politicians certainly seemed to when they agreed with the people by a huge majority.

Europe has a great deal to lose by our departure and they and certain well known useful idiots are spending a great deal of money on spreading misinformation such as in Facebook and similar, but I sense from the rousing cheer on Question Time last week in favour of leaving that their efforts will be to no avail.
