David Rudolf

St George’s Church, Brighton, Saturday, January 26

Anyone familiar with the popular Netflix series The Staircase will know the work of defence attorney David Rudolf.

In this new tour David will talk through what it was like being the defence attorney for Michael Peterson in the show, which is a true crime story.

Peterson claims his wife, Kathleen, fell down the stairs to her death. And thousands tuned in to see if that really was the case.

Now David will tell all in this stand-up show.

Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of Four

The Capitol Theatre, Horsham, Monday, January 28, and Tuesday, January 29

The tales of Sherlock Holmes are always popular among both readers and viewers.

The Sign Of Four is no different.

After a run in Worthing last year - which was highly praised - the show now makes its way to Horsham in the hopes of having the same reaction.

If you’re a fan of the stage and like the works of Arthur Conan Doyle brought to life then this could well be one to go and see next week.

Horrible Histories

Theatre Royal, Brighton, Wednesday, January 30, to Saturday, February 2

This is a great show to take the youngsters to next week.

Horrible Histories is a collection many children have been brought up on as a first introduction into historical figures and their lives.

Across the four days it is showing at Theatre Royal you can take your little ones to see either the Awful Egyptians or the Terrible Tudors.

Both are sure to be a good glimpse into history while also being entertaining and extremely funny.

White Lies

Concorde 2, Brighton, Thursday, January 31

With influences from indie, punk and pop all embedded into their music, White Lies have cemented themselves as one of the most hard-hitting British bands in recent years.

The trio, who hail from Ealing, are well known for their immense live shows and their epic anthems.

Their sound is dark but also somewhat uplifting and can see you dancing around or just standing in a state of melancholy - whichever takes your fancy.

As one of the best live bands around at the moment they are definitely worth checking out.

Bastille

Brighton Centre, Brighton, Friday, February 1

After their last tour, which saw them headline some of the biggest arenas in the UK, Bastille are almost going stripped back and intimate in this upcoming run of shows. Compared with the likes of the O2 Arena, the 4,500 capacity Brighton Centre is almost tiny.

Being able to see the fantastic live show that Bastille offer, but in smaller surroundings than they have played in a while, is a rare treat. As their stock continues to rise, see them while you can.
