Emergency services talked down a teenage girl who was in distress on the roof of a building.
Sussex Police were called to cordon off High Street, in Lancing, so officers could talk to her.
A fire engine was dispatched because of the height of the building.
The incident happened this afternoon.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "There was concern for the safety of a teenage girl in distress on the roof of a building.
"Officers engaged with her and she is now safe. The incident is now closed, there is no further information."
