The latest addition to West Street's cacophony of nightclubs is all set to open its doors next week.

Oceana (or Oceanaaaaaa as it's sure to be known by regular denizens of Brighton's party-hardiest street) is an all-new multi-room replacement for the Event II.

£6 million has been poured into the venue and it claims to be the first nightclub in the area to launch an early evening bar complex.

Set to open its doors to the public on Thursday, Oceana will run three destinations' under one roof.

As well as The Deep Bar, the club will offer two separate nightclub experiences in New York Disco and Reykjavik Icehouse, plus a number of reception bars and VIP suites. Each area aims to provide a different atmosphere, while the nights on offer run the gamut from student to urban. Basically, this is the place to be if you like your music commercial and your venue shiny and colourful.

Those helping to celebrate the venue's arrival include Big Brother's Mr Lover Lover Ziggy opening up the Monday Student Night on October 15 and Brighton-based funk and soul band The Cover Up playing three night of launch week.
