Dramatic footage shows the moment a glider pilot was rescued after getting stuck in a tree.
A helicopter lifted the man to safety from the sailplane, which crashed into the tree at 1.10pm, at about 5pm this afternoon (February 2).
He was stuck in the tree 30m above the ground for about four hours.
Two Land Rovers, two fire engines, and specialist units joined officers to help the man in Chanctonbury Ring on the South Downs, near Steyning.
The man was not injured.
