A BURGER hotspot has launched a new item it hopes will go down smoothly with vegans.

Patty And Bun, in Ship Street, Brighton, is expanding its vegan offerings with the unveiling of a new milkshake.

Following the success of its Whoopi Goldburger, a vegan alternative to meat that went down a treat, the burger masters are now turning their hand to beverages.

The new shake is called Dr Speculaas and is described as an “indulgent shake made from vegan gelato blended with biscoff pastel and finished off with a generous topping of crumbled biscoff biscuits”.

The milkshake is made from vegan ice cream which the restaurant gets from Gelato Gusto, which makes all its gelato on-site in its Brighton store. Patty And Bun said: “This rich and creamy creation is guaranteed to satisfy all taste buds and not just vegans.”

Patty And Bun opened in Brighton a year ago having cemented itself as a popular burger chain across London.

The Ship Street store, which comfortably seats 50 covers, was the first the company had opened outside the capital.
