On this day 20 years ago The Argus visited some students at Varndean College as they rehearsed for their new show. We met some youngsters doing great things in sport - including one who would go on to play cricket for Sussex and a Yo-yo champion.
First we have Dr Tony Wing, lecturer at the University of Brighton, who is talking maths with pupils at Peacehaven Primary School.
Next we have the students at Varndean College rehearse their production of Pravda.
Jo Rice, Beth Willis and Paul Morley of Varndean College are all set to put on their production of Pravda.
After that we meet Tamsyn Kelson, left, and Alexia Walker, who went on to play for Sussex Women.
Next meet Suzanne Eastwood who was on her way to take part in a martial arts competition but squad manager Terry Robins left her behind accidentally.
Happily the team would go on to win the cup.
Finally we caught up with UK double handed yo-yo champion Matt Hennem as he showed off his skills at The Old Palace in Tarring, with Loe Staar, 12, from Worthing
