A MASSIVE power cut has swept across hundreds of homes this evening.
More than 300 homes in Peacehaven are currently without electricity, according to UK Power Network.
The first reports of no power were at 4.10pm.
The UK Power Network are currently investigating the situation.
It said there had been a problem with an underground cable on its “high voltage” network, causing a widespread power cut.
The power is due to come back on between 6.30 and 7.30pm.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said online: “We're sorry you're still without power.
"Our engineers are making progress with repairs, but are anticipating they will take longer than was originally thought.
"To give them time to complete their work, we have had to make a change to the timeframe. We're now estimating to have you back on between 18:30 and 19:30.
"We're sorry the time has changed and appreciate how frustrating this can be.
"We'll have your power back on as soon as we can.
