THE massive extension to The Beacon in Eastbourne has been slammed by shoppers as ‘freezing.’
The centre, formerly known as The Arndale, opened its new shops just before Christmas.
Shoppers are not impressed and have taken to social media.
One wrote: “Well we can’t stay safe and warm in your new extension, it’s freezing! Take it you haven’t heard of doors and heating?!”
Another posted: “All that money and ongoing inconvenience caused by roadworks and all the rest of it and you can’t even heat the place properly, I find it hilarious.
“I went once before Christmas, buckets on the floor catching all the water coming from the leaks in the roof and as said above it was absolutely Baltic!
“I’ll stick to doing my shopping online, at least my flat is toasty!”
The Beacon is owned by Legal and General.
On its Facebook account, it said: “Your concerns have been noted and passed on to the relevant person for review.”
