The A29 at Bury Hill is reopened after yesterday's diesel spill.
West Sussex Highways worked through the night to finish the resurfacing work.
It is likely road closure will be in place for a couple of days.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, Highways England and Sussex Police were dispatched to the incident at about 7.40am after reports of 350 litres of diesel oil were spilled.
