THREE women were aggressively confronted by two armed youths in two different incidents.
A woman was walking in Regent Hill, Brighton, when she had her path blocked by two youths on a black and white moped.
One of them got out a hammer.
The woman was not harmed and was able to continue her way safely as there were two passers-by.
Two other women had to seek refuge at Costa Coffee in Western Road when it is believed the same two youths entered the shop to aggressively search for them.
The women were unhurt and the suspects left.
A short time later, the two youths’ unattended moped was found by police in Regent Hill and it was confirmed that it was recently stolen.
Both youths were wearing tracksuits.
They also wore distinctive black and neon yellow crash helmets.
Detective Sergeant Chris Lane said: “ It’s vital we speak to the three women involved in these incidents.
“We’d ask them to get in touch without delay.
“We’d also welcome calls from anyone who witnessed either of these incidents or who have other relevant information.”
The incidents happened on Tuesday.
