A MAN has been found on the edge of a cliff.
Police and emergency services are currently assisting the man who is on the wrong side of the fence near the edge of Telscombe Cliffs.
Birling Gap, Shoreham, Newhaven and Eastbourne Coastguard rescue teams are assisting with the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police are on scene speaking with a man the wrong side of the fence at Telscombe Cliffs.
"This is currently ongoing."
A spokesman for Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: “At around 3.15pm today Sussex Police requested HM Coastguard assistance with an incident at Peacehaven.
“Birling Gap, Shoreham and Eastbourne Coastguard Rescue Teams are assisting.”
A Brighton Lifeboat Station spokeswomen said one of their rescue boats was sent out at 3.45pm to help with the incident.
