RESIDENTS have described their shock at seeing a man being bundled to the floor by armed police in an arrest.
Video footage from Whitehawk Way in Brighton showed the moment the suspect was arrested at 4.30pm yesterday.
It was reported that there were two suspects who were arrested during the incident, and the footage, shared widely on Facebook, appears to show a man being arrested.
He was held on the floor while he was put in handcuffs, then walked to the back of one of the unmarked police cars nearby.
One resident said: “The sirens were so loud, they alarmed us, and we looked outside and saw one of the guys was being floored with guns pointed at him.
“There were lots of black cars with blue flashing lights, I assume they were undercover.
"The police van with CCTV turned up soon after, I stopped filming after they were led away.”
It is understood that the police armed response team were called to the incident, near the junction with Wiston Road.
Sussex Police has been contacted about the incident.
