With Brexit just around the corner, plenty of people are staying at home for holidays instead of making plans to travel in Europe. Holly Patrick finds out why Brighton is the perfect place for a Staycation.

AS THE deadline day for leaving the European Union approaches, it is still not clear how the transition will affect holidays on the continent.

A report by iCarhireinsurance revealed 29 per cent of the 1,000 British residents interviewed, will travel in the EU less because of Brexit.

But there is good news, as 23 per cent said they will be planning a staycation in the UK this year.

Staycations involve either holidaying where you live and discovering all the incredible places you’ve “never had the time” to visit.

It can also mean travelling to a different part of the country to experience its culture and beauty.

Today, Brighton remains one of Britain’s best-loved seaside towns.

Here’s a look at why Brighton is the perfect place to book your staycation in 2019.
