SHOREHAM Port is opening its gates once again this year for its annual boat tours in May and July.

Each tour will last for 45 minutes and will include live commentary from port staff.

The tours will take you down the impounded basin, more commonly known as the canal, where you can see all of the action on the terminals and get a glimpse of some passing vessels.

The boat tours are open to all and free of charge.

There is disabled access onto the boat.

Places must be booked in advance as the boat trips are extremely popular.

This spring, the boat trips will run on May 9 and 10 as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival.

To attend the Brighton Fringe tours in May, you will need to book through the Brighton Fringe website.

Kate Tyrer, communications executive, said: “We are pleased to be part of the Brighton Fringe festival, which will give even more people the opportunity to have a behind-the-scenes view of what happens at Shoreham Port as they cruise down the canal.”
