A VIDEO showing a mass shooting appears to show the suspect pledging support for a Brighton YouTube star.

Internet blogger Pewdiepie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, says he has been left “sickened” after a man referenced him in a video before people were killed inside two New Zealand Mosques

The attack which killed at least 49 people was live streamed online.

News reports state the suspect identified himself as Australian national Brenton Tarrant as the video was posted live on Twitter.

Before opening fire a man can be heard saying “‘Remember lads, subscribe to PewDiePie.’

The phrase is a reference to the ongoing battle between Pewdiepie and Indian channel T-Series, who are competing to see who can earn the most subscribers on the online video site.

Following news of the attack Pewdiepie posted on Twitter: “Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch.

“I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered.

“My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy.”

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said: “There is absolutely no place in either of our countries for the hatred and intolerance that has bred this extremist, terrorist violence and we condemn it,”

One man has been charged with murder.
