Emergency services were called after a car and motorbike collided.
Sussex Police, Southeast Coast Ambulance (Secamb), West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and air medical services arrived at Station Road, Southwick, on Friday night.
Officers cordoned off the road.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We were called to assist with an RTC at Station Road, Southwick, at 11:43pm on Friday.
"One fire engine was called to the scene. One person was handed over to the care of Secamb."
Sussex Police, Secamb and air ambulance have been contacted for a comment.
