MAGISTRATES have banned a man from keeping horses after he failed to look after a bay mare.
John Brazil “caused unnecessary suffering” by failing to address the cause of its “poor bodily condition” in Chichester.
At Worthing Magistrates’ Court the 20-year-old, of Clayton Lane, Bracklesham, admitted the charge.
He was ordered to do 160 hours of unpaid work and attend 20 rehabilitation sessions. He must also pay £300 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
Under the Animal Welfare Act powers he was banned from keeping horses for three years.
