A WOMAN breached an antisocial behaviour order by letting her dog go into a children’s play area.
Karin Tinsley had been ordered not to let her dog go into the playground in Palatine Park in Worthing by the order, but twice breached it in May last year.
The 58-year-old, of Coniston Road, Worthing, admitted the charges at Worthing Magistrates’ Court. She was fined £200 and must also pay £500 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
Worthing Borough Council brought the prosecution because she had used the play area.
Cllr Val Turner said: “We know that the vast majority of dog owners are caring and responsible.
“But this case shows that when there are repeated cases of people breaching our dog control orders then we will act.
“We will continue to protect our green and recreational spaces for all to enjoy and also encourage responsible dog ownership within our communities.”
