A MAN attacked an 83-year-old woman and stole her shopping trolley.
The victim was walking along Spencers Road, West Green, Crawley, when she was pushed to one by side by the man who ran off with her shopping trolley.
However, he abandoned the trolley a short distance away and nothing was taken from it.
She suffered a sprained ankle for which she was treated at Crawley Hospital. The suspect is tall, slim build, and wore dark clothing including a mask.
Detective Constable Mark Buckley said: “Several people have already come forward and spoken about witnessing this attack on a vulnerable elderly lady.
"I would like to speak with any other people who were in the road at the time, or in the area, and who remember seeing a man matching the description.”
