A KNIFE, cash and class A drugs were confiscated by police during a stop and search yesterday.
Two men were arrested after their car was stopped in Cheapside, Brighton, at about 11am on Tuesday.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Lloyd Earle, 24, a painter of Steele Road, Tottenham, London, and Tavari Cabey, 19, unemployed of Cromwell Street, Birmingham, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug - crack cocaine - conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug - heroin - and possession of a knife blade or pointed article in a public place.
"They were remanded to appear before Brighton magistrates today."
Brighton and Hove Police posted details of the incident on social media at 8.42pm and said: “Prevention Enforcement officers in Brighton stop&searched a vehicle taking about 500 wraps of class A drugs, £1600 and a knife off the street.
“Brighton & Hove is a hostile place to deal drugs.”
They added: “Support from our community keeps it that way.”
