Vegan protesters stormed Jamie Oliver’s restaurant on Friday night.
Activists from Direct Action Everywhere staged a protest inside the restaurant in Black Lion Street, Brighton, screaming “It's not food, it's violence!”.
The police were called after about 25 activists with a megaphone entered the restaurant in front of stunned diners.
The group claims that one protester’s bum was grabbed by a customer.
And protesters say they were unhappy with their treatment by Sussex Police.
Video footage from the incident shows a protester falling to the floor after police attempted to remove her from the restaurant.
One officer then tries to persuade her to get up, telling her she is falling over “intentionally”.
Annoyed customers can be seen exchanging heated words with the activists before the chanting mob leaves.
