TWO cars were set on fire in a late-night arson attack.

It happened in Mannings Road, Littlehampton, in the early hours of Sunday.

Two other vehicles nearby were also damaged in the blaze which happened at about 3.35am.

The cars involved were a Ford Ka, Suzuki Swift, a Hyundai Getz and a Dacia Duster. All were burnt out, but no one was hurt.

Detective Constable Carrie Thwaites said: “Two men were involved and left the scene in a car.

“Incidents like this are unacceptable because they put lives and property at risk.”

Police say they will step up patrols in the area.
