A MAN was taken to hospital after a reported stabbing which took place outside a library.
Police sealed off Sutton Park Road in Seaford after reports of a “fight” between three men on Saturday at 3.40pm.
There were reports that one man had been “slashed” while another man reported being struck by a yellow spirit level.
A 45-year-old man from Eastbourne was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital with an arm wound, while a 20-year-old man suffered “reddening to his face” after being struck.
Police now say enquiries are continuing, and said a 25-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm.
He was bailed until April 25.
Meanwhile, a 63-year-old woman from Seaford was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She was released under investigation.
