BRIGHTON has been named the best city in the UK for gamers.
A new report considered factors such as number of gamers, hours spent gaming and download speeds in several cities to find a winner.
Brighton was the runaway winner with a score of 99 out of 100, beating second place Cardiff with a score of just 78.
The Sussex city has nine gaming companies.
An impressive 68 per cent of its population say they are gamers and people spend an average of 7.99 hours gaming each week.
Belfast, Bristol and Sheffield also featured in the top five.
Despite not even making the top ten, the index from Liberty Games revealed that Plymouth was the city with the fastest download speeds with an average of 67.5 Mbps.
