A CAR was seen crashing into a house at a high speed causing serious damage and then driving off.
Police received reports of a “dark coloured” Fiat 500 speeding down Southover Street in Brighton at about 5am this morning.
It crashed into an unoccupied home cracking the walls and causing damage.
Firefighters were called to check for structural damage to the building.
Police are asking for any witnesses to this incident to contact them.
A police spokesman said: “At 5.13am today police received a report of a black Fiat 500 car having collided with an unoccupied house in Southover Street, Brighton, before making off.
“The impact created a crack in a wall and firefighters attended to check for structural damage.
“Police are seeking the vehicle and its driver.”
