A FOUR-VEHICLE pile-up on the A27 is causing severe delays.
The crash happened at about 6.10am at the Ashcombe Roundabout near Lewes.
This has left the road partially blocked.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman confirmed the incident and said that one person had suffered a "minor injury".
An AA spokesman said: “The road is partially blocked and there is slow traffic due to an accident.
“Four vehicles were involved on the A27 eastbound at theA277, Ashcombe Roundabout.
“The accident is just after the roundabout. Traffic on the westbound side is slowing down to look.”
There are delays of six minutes on the A27 eastbound between the B2123, at the Falmer, Rottingdean Junction, and the A277, Ashcombe Roundabout, with an average speed of 15 mph.
Westbound there are delays of seven minutes stretching from the Ashcombe Roundabout to the A27 junction with Cockshut Road.
Brighton and Hove Buses has also been affected by the crash.
A spokesman said: "Due to an accident on the Kingston Roundabout our BH28 and BH29 services are currently experiencing delays.
"Our apologies."
The road is now clear.
