A MASKED rasider held pharmacy staff at gunpoint, handed staff a list of drugs and demanded they gave them to her.

Megan Hammond stuffed the drugs into a plastic bag and ran way. But police were able to quickly identify the 29-year-old from CCTV footage and arrested her a short time later.

Her house was searched by police who found a bag containing the drugs, a knife and a gun.

Investigating officer PC Matt Chamberlain said: “Megan entered the pharmacy with a mask covering her face but we were able to identify her by her clothes and her voice. Officers worked hard to put together the evidence for this case and we welcome the sentence given.

“No one should have to experience the fear these staff members did and I hope this sends out a clear message to the public this behaviour will not be tolerated.”

The robbery happened at Kamsons Pharmacy in Durlston Drive, Bognor at about 9.10am on December 11.

Hammond, of Chestnut Grove, Bognor Regis, pleaded guilty to robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence. She was sentenced to 32 months in prison at Portsmouth Crown Court on April 11.
