TWO men have been arrested after “acting suspiciously around vehicles” in the early hours.

A passer-by called police at 1.48am on Saturday after seeing the pair behaving oddly around cars in Medway Road, Crawley.

Officers rushed to the area and, whilst conducting a search, arrested two men.

Jake Sheldrake, 31, and Marcus Wells, 46, both of no fixed address have both been charged with vehicle interference. Both will appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on May 15.

Police told vehicle-owners to “remain vigilant” and not leave anything valuable in their cars. They also advised to ensure all windows and doors are locked.
