CAROLINE Lucas is set to co-host Greta Thunberg in Parliament next week.
Greta, 16, is the founder of the school strikes for action against climate change.
Green Brighton MP Ms Lucas has given her support to the youth activist, who has recently been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Ms Lucas said: “Really
looking forward to co-hosting
Greta Thunberg in Parliament next week
“She’ll bring a powerful message to politicians that they cannot ignore either the rising seas or the rising citizens’ movements demanding action.”
Greta will be joining the Extinction Rebellion protesters in London next week during her visit to the capital.
The Swedish activist will also take her campaign to parliament, where she will speak to dozens of MPs.
Her campaign, Youth Strike For Climate, has seen schoolchildren in Brighton skip school and head to the streets to protest.
Last week, youngsters sat outside a bank in the centre of Brighton and blocked a road demanding the Government take action on climate change.
