A TEENAGER was attacked and robbed by a pair of thugs after telling them which football team he supports.

The 18-year-old Brighton resident was approached by two men in grey tracksuits.

The pair asked him what football team he supported and, when he said it was Millwall, they kicked him to the ground then repeatedly kicked him in the head.

The yobs also stole the victim’s bag containing his work tools and mobile phone.

Police believe others may have joined in and suspect the attackers then fled the scene in a car.

The incident happened about 2am on Friday in Church Street, Brighton, close to the junction with New Road.

The attackers are believed to be aged between 25 and 30.

Police are urging anyone who saw what happened to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 129 of 19/04.
