A FRAUDSTER conned women out of thousands of pounds after promising them a job that didn’t exist.

The crook told two women in Brighton they could have a job with his company which involved travelling abroad but they would have to pay for their hotels, flights and laptops up front.

He promised he would pay them back and the victims handed over more than £3,800.

But they have not seen or heard from him since and their money has not been reimbursed.

Investigator Tamara Bennett said: “We are appealing for anyone who knows who this man is or has any information about him to come forward.

“He may have been travelling back and forth to Spain.

“We would also like to hear from anyone else who may have fallen victim to this scam.”

The women met the man through a recruitment agency in late February.

Police have released CCTV image of a man they would like to talk to in connection with the incident.

He is white, about 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build and is bald.

Police are urging anyone who has seen the man or may have any information on him to report online or ring 101 quoting serial 634 of 11/03.
