AN ALBION fan is appealing for help to get him to the last game of the season.

Seagulls supporter Andy Bajana, who lives in New York, has asked his fellow fans to help him watch Brighton’s last game of the 2018/19 season.

Chris Hughton’s men take on the current Premier League champions, and this year’s champions elect, Manchester City at the Amex on Sunday, May 12.

Andy has become a popular figure among some Brighton fans in recent weeks.

The 23-year-old New Yorker, who is also a founding member of the NYC Seagulls supporters group, spread across the internet thanks to songs he had written about the team.

Andy has since uploaded weekly songs ahead of most Albion games this season.

The videos have drawn mixed reaction from fans but Andy has built up a following.

He told The Argus: “Every time I write a banger of a song, Brighton seems to play with more heart.

“I’m hoping my last two songs of the season are enough to keep the Seagulls up.”

Andy has set up a crowd funding page online and hopes to raise some £600 to get him to Brighton and buy a ticket to the game.

Andy, a court stenographer, said he feels welcomed by all Albion fans and if his financial situation was different he would pay for his own ticket.

In a statement on Twitter he said: “I found out on Friday that I was hired for a new job.

“Working a nine to five means supporting Brighton is going to be a challenge [because of time zones].

“I’m hoping I can see the Seagulls play one last time before we close the curtains on one of our most unforgettable seasons.”

Andy said anyone who donates to his cause will be written into his final song of the season.

He expressed his gratitude to all the fans who have taken him into their hearts, saying: “I know I have a pretty young fan base and it may be difficult for some of you donate, but I appreciate all your support.”

Andy has already been receiving support for his campaign.

At the time of going to print his crowd funder has reached just over £150.

Some fans seems to be behind him, with one Twitter user saying: “Hope he gets the money. Hope he gets to bring a new song as well.”

However not all fans are convinced.

In one post, suggesting people should support the cause, one poster simply replied “why?”.
