Aged 75, of Montague Street, Brighton, admitted driving on the A259 Marine Parade in Brighton at a speed in excess of 30mph. Fined £139, surcharge £30 and £85 costs. Four points added to his licence.
LUKE BERRY
Aged 24, of St Georges Place, Brighton, admitted two assaults, racially aggravated harassment, criminal damage, assaulting a PC at the custody centre in Crowhurst Road, and two charges of failing to show up to court. Fined £60 for the racist offence, and ordered to pay a total of £180 in compensation, and to complete 20 sessions of the Thinking Skills programme.

Aged 69, of Carlton Hill, Brighton, admitted failing to notify Brighton and Hove City Council about a change in his circumstances for his entitlement to housing benefit. Given six-month suspended prison sentence. Surcharge £115 and £85 costs.

Aged 30, of Whitehawk Way, Brighton, admitted stealing cleaning and washing products from Sainsbury’s worth £51.25. Jailed for 12 weeks because of her previous record. Ordered to pay £51.25 compensation, £115 surcharge and £85 court costs.
