A RADIO DJ is returning to music, but not to spin records.

Jack Hayes, better known for his role as Heart FM presenter Jack the Lad, will be back on the microphone to entertain crowds at the Brighton Run2Music event.

The entertaining fun run takes place on Saturday, May 11.

Jack will be getting the crowd hyped up as runners take to the streets of the city, some dressed as their favourite musicians.

Jack will be joined by local DJ Juke of York.

Jack was extremely popular when he hosted the run last year and has been invited back for next week’s event.

Speaking of his appearance at the fun run Jack said: “After hosting the first ever Brighton Run2Music last year I am thrilled to be back for its return to see just how much the event has grown.

“I had such a great time last year and love the feel of the event.

“Music is a huge part of my life, I cannot run without it and I know that with the help of my old friend Peter ‘The Juke of York’ we will have the tunes to get all the runners through whichever distance they have chosen to run.

“I can’t think of many better places to run than in sight of the sea and some of Brighton’s most famous landmarks.

“I am thrilled to be back and to meet not just returning runners, but all the guys taking part for the first time.

“Oil up, stretch your legs and I will see you all on the May 11 for what promises to be a cracking day.”

The run will commence on Madeira Drive in Brighton at 11am.

Performers and entertainers from all over Sussex will be joining Jack and Pete to perform on stage and entertain the runners with cheerleading routines, street dancing, Samba routines and local bands.

DJ Juke of York, better known as Pete York, founder of The Juke of York Music Academy, said: “Being a resident of Brighton and Hove for nearly 20 years has been amazing, my daughter has been schooled in Brighton and has spent most of her life here in the city.

“To be a part of the Run2music event would see me give something back to the city while having fun doing what I love, music.”
