A WOMAN punched and bit her boyfriend after teasing him about stretch marks.

Chrystal Green was recorded by friends at her home in Brighton as she assaulted Ryan Crabtree.

She was seen brandishing a knife during the domestic row.

Brighton Magistrates’ Court was told she had punched Mr Crabtree and bitten his lips.

Later she asked friends if she had hurt him and called the police to hand herself in.

It was revealed that Green had said her boyfriend’s stretch marks were similar to her own following her recent pregnancy.

This led to the argument as he became angry and he offered his face for her to punch, which she did.

Footage from the friends showed arguments and people pointing fingers at the flat in Preston Road, Brighton.

In court, 25-year-old Green admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Suzanne Soros, prosecuting said Green called the police and told them she did not know what had happened but knew she had hurt Mr Crabtree.

She said: “Some footage inside the flat shows the parties shouting and pointing fingers.

“The injured party offered his face for the defendant to punch, which she did.

“She bit his lip and there were a series of punches to him. On the footage, there appears to be blood in his mouth.

“Then she picks up a knife and wields it, moving towards the other party, and raised her arm.”

Ms Soros said Mr Crabtree had not supported a prosecution, but because of the evidence the Crown Prosecution Service had gone ahead anyway.

Green was given a community order of 15 rehabilitation days and must pay an £85 surcharge.

Steve Harris, defending, said both Mr Crabtree and Green regretted their behaviour.

He said his client had no previous criminal convictions.

The situation had become heated after a reference to stretch marks.

Mr Harris said: “It was an incident about her stretch marks.

“She made a joke about her stretch marks being similar to his.

“That made him argumentative and angry.

“He is extremely regretful.

“My client asked her friend if she had hurt Mr Crabtree, and was told she had.

“She phoned the police and reported herself for committing the assault.

“She is desperately sorry to be in this position. I am sure she won’t be in this position again.”
