AN OLD cinema has been turned into sparkling new apartments.
The Luxor Cinema, in South Street, Lancing, has been restored and is now home to 12 luxury flats.
Built in the 1940s, the building was originally a 988-seater cinema.
But is has been empty since being abandoned in the 1980s.
Will Machin, managing director of developer Machin Group, said: “We are really proud to have turned such a long-term derelict building into a viable project that the local community will benefit from in years to come.”
Adur District Councillor Pat Beresford said the restored cinema would “make a good first impression” on visitors to Lancing.
