ROOMS at a popular hotel have been given an artistic makeover.

Two guest bedrooms at the Artist Residence Hotel, in Regency Square, Brighton, have a new look thanks to some well-known street artists.

The specially designed rooms have very differing styles.

International street artists, Ben Eine and Pure Evil, whose real name is Charles Uzzell-Edwards, will unveil their work on the hotel’s walls at a special ticketed event on Thursday.

To make the event even more special there will be a panel talk, live podcast and four-course tasting dinner at The Set Restaurant.

During the talk, Ben and Pure Evil will discuss street art versus fine art and debate the role of artists in society today.

The panel talk will be chaired by Inspiring City art blogger Stuart Holdsworth and recorded live for episode one of the second season of Artrepublic’s Art Related Noise podcast.

Pure Evil designed an Audrey Hepburn-inspired room.

He said: “I thought the whole mood of Audrey Hepburn would work well in a room where people spend a night or two.

“She’s pretty calm and serene and I wanted guests staying in the room to feel that tranquility.”

Both artists have strong Brighton connections, having worked with Artrepublic for many years and also with Artist Residence.
