A WOMAN died after she was seen falling from the cliff tops.
Police were called yesterday after reports of a woman seen falling from the cliffs at Beachy Head near Eastbourne yesterday.
A police spokeswoman said: " Emergency services were called to Beachy Head, near Eastbourne, on Sunday at 11.30am after a report of a woman seen to fall from the cliff.
"The woman was sadly declared dead at the scene and the Coroner's Officer informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokeswoman from HM Coastguard said: "Just after 11.30am today Sussex Police requested HM Coastguard assistance at an incident at Beachy Head.
"Eastbourne, Newhaven and Birling Gap Coastguard Rescue Teams, Eastbourne RNLI and the Lydd Coastguard helicopter were all tasked to assist."
