TWO men have been arrested and charged with offences linked to the murder of Abdul Deghayes.

They are due to appear in court today. 

The alarm was raised at 9.28pm on February 16 when Mr Deghayes was found in the passenger seat of a silver Volkswagen Polo that had collided with a number of cars near St Joseph's church in Brighton.

He had suffered a number of stab wounds and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he died from his injuries at 6.28am the next morning.

Daniel McLeod, who is already remanded in custody charged with his murder has been further charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply drugs - cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy.

Stephen Burns, 54, self-employed, of Lennox Street, Brighton, has been charged with assisting an offender, in relation to the murder, and three counts of conspiracy to supply drugs - cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy.

The two men were arrested yesterday and were remanded in custody.

They will appear before Brighton Magistrates Court today.

A 23-year-old man from Brighton, also arrested yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs, was later released under investigation.
