A PEDESTRIAN was airlifted to hospital after being hit by a lorry.
The 24-year-old was hit by a Volvo tipper truck at about 3.40pm on Thursday.
He suffered serious head injuries and was flown to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The 32-year-old driver of the truck was uninjured.
Officers attended the scene and are now seeking witnesses of the crash on the A26 in Crowborough.
