A THIEF who stole a charity tin from a shop has been ordered to pay compensation.

Abbi Maple admitted two charges of theft from a woman and from a shop in Shoreham.

The 32-year-old took £50 from the Sugar and Spice health shop in East Street, which would have gone to St Barnabas House hospice. She also took £55 from the woman.

Maple, of Ham Road, Shoreham, was given a 24-week suspended prison sentence at Crawley Magistrates’ Court.
