PICTURES are flooding in for this month’s camera club challenge, which is focused on nature and wildlife.

The Argus Camera Club picked the May and June theme to celebrate the renowned Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition which is on loan to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery from the Natural History Museum in London.

It runs until September 8 so why not go along for some inspiration?

General admission is £6 for adults and £3.50 for children aged five to 18.

Brighton and Hove residents get in for £4 and it’s free for accompanying children.

Our pictures today range from Malcolm Thomason’s picture of The Ouse Valley Viaduct at Balcombe to the close up detail of Mick Page’s two close-up images of beetles.

The West Pier always provides popular subject matter and it once again features, thanks to an excellent photo by Alice Dwyer.

And as we all know, this is the time of year when there are plenty of bees buzzing around our gardens.

Sue Barnett captured this honey bee in all its striped glory as it visits a flower.

Our competition is run in partnership with Brighton Museum and our winners will get a £50 prize and two Brighton Explorer passes which give entry to the Royal Pavilion, the i360 and Sea Life Brighton.

Entries can be uploaded to the Argus Camera Club until the end of June and the winners will be chosen by staff from the museum and the Argus.

There is an additional category for youngsters under 14 and the prize will be Explorer passes for a family of four and £50.

Youngsters entering will need to have their pictures uploaded by someone old enough to use Facebook. They must be clearly marked as a young person’s entry.
