A MOTORIST has been jailed after he was found drunk behind the wheel just months after a driving ban.

Kevin Brown was stopped by police in Nyewood Lane, Bognor in a Ford Focus last month.

Police carried out a breath test, and he had 171 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg per 100ml.

Brown, 36, of Stanbrok Close, Bognor, was previously for convicted of drink driving in December last year.

Police stopped him in Donnington and found he was more than three times over the limit after a blood test.

At Worthing Magistrates' Court Brown was jailed for 14 weeks for admitting drink driving, driving while disqualified and breaching a community order. He was banned from driving for four years and three months.
